Installing Strap and Fixing Loose Strap Pins
Installing them takes nothing more than a screwdriver and five minutes of time. But, if there’s a loose strap pin – causing the need for strap locks, a simple fix will solve that problem.
Remove the screw and strap pin. Pour some wood glue into the screw hole (don’t fill it to the top.) Take a few wooden toothpicks or other thin wooden pegs and wedge them into the glue-filled hole. Allow it to dry, break off the ends of the shims, and re-screw the strap pin into the new spot.
